Volunteer at the Asian Renal Clinic
Volunteers are welcome at the BWH Asian Renal Clinic. Fluency in English and Asian languages, including but not limited to Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese, is recommended. Duties may involve:

  • Helping to design community outreach activities
  • Participating in regular health screening activities
  • Networking with Chinese community leaders.

Volunteers may contact Asian Renal Clinic director Dr. Li-Li Hsiao.

Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program:
If you are interested in or are interested in forming a Kidney Disease Screening and Awareness Program (KDSAP) chapter at your university or high school, please contact Dr. Hsiao. KDSAP works in conjunction with the BWH Asian Renal Clinic to organize and manage renal health screenings provided free of charge to at-risk minority populations, who are at greater risk for chronic kidney disease.
